Layne is a business and real estate lawyer at Cassels Brock in Vancouver. He is a proud supporter of the Chamber, and is legal counsel to its board of directors.

His practice focuses on business disputes and serves clients across the province. In many of his cases, the control or ownership of a business is at stake, there are allegations of fraud or there is a dispute related to a party’s contractual rights. His real estate litigation practice involves claims arising from real estate development, failed purchase and sale transactions, and leasing matters.

Layne prides himself on providing cost-effective, and results-focused advice. In addition to his legal practice, Layne has lectured at several continuing education seminars and regularly provides free legal services to low through Access Pro Bono. He lives in Vancouver with his wife and daughter.
