Strong foundations, high aspirations.
Every year, our members—made up of local chambers of commerce, boards of trade, and corporate organizations—develop policies that reflect the needs of B.C. businesses. Through our grassroots policy process our membership endorses approximately 70 new policies every year at our Annual General Meeting. The breadth and diversity of our policies reflects our broad-based membership—in any given year we have policy recommendations for almost all B.C.’s provincial government ministries.
These recommendations serve as our road map—once approved our policies are ‘on the books’ for three years. They inform our pan-provincial advocacy efforts and the advocacy efforts of local chambers for regional-specific issues.

Our Policy Development Process
We use insights from BCMindReader.com, and work with our members and stakeholders to identify issues that are impacting B.C. businesses
Our draft policies include specific actionable recommendations for government, based on the issues
Our AGM features a lively debate session, where the network fleshes out all draft resolutions, to be ready for a final vote
To get a policy on the books we need 2/3 approval from our network of over 100 chambers of commerce and boards of trade in B.C.
