The Castlegar and District Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization that covers the city of Castlegar and Regional District of Central Kootenay Areas I and J. acts as an umbrella overseeing the following programs: Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Centre, Destination Castlegar (DMO), Economic Development and Confluence Co-working Space .
We have a new building called the Confluence of Tourism and Business that we opened in August 2024. This building is a 8300 sq/ft first of its kind in Canada, Passive house certified, Mass Timber public building, operating at 85% reduced emissions. In addition to our direct programs, it has a co-working space, event and state of the art technology meeting rooms, public outdoor park space and for lease office spaces.
