Robert Brennan Hart

Strategic Advisor to CEO

Robert Brennan Hart is an executive communications strategist and advisor who has spent more than 15 years working in the spaces where business, technology, policy and public life converge. His career has been defined by improbable propositions and consequential moments: steering the communications and market positioning of a company from private venture to a $1.8 billion public enterprise; advising CEOs and Fortune 50 leadership teams on questions that sit well beyond the communications function; and building communities and media platforms designed to bring influential people into the same room before private conviction becomes public consensus.

He served as Chief Communications Officer at HFS Research and Abaxx Technologies, and founded the Canadian Cloud Council, which grew into a national community of more than 30,000 technology leaders. He has served on the Global Advisory Board of DocuSign and the United Nations Foundation’s Global Digital Council, and his writing has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, BetaKit and C-Suite Quarterly.

His work has been recognized by Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40, the United Nations’ Top 70 Global Digital Leaders and HotTopics’ Top 100 Meaningful Business Leaders. Hart brings to the BC Chamber a particular interest in the architecture of influence: how institutions earn trust, how leaders shape the conversation around them, and how ideas become movements, markets and policy.
