Roxanne Schutz Appointed New Vice President, Operations

Chamber Network

Fiona Famulak, President and CEO of the BC Chamber of Commerce, announced today that Roxanne Schutz is joining the provincial association as the new Vice President, Operations.

“Roxanne brings over 15 years of experience managing, re-building and improving business processes and technical environments in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, and all of us at the BC Chamber of Commerce are excited she is joining our team,” Famulak said. “As we slowly emerge from the pandemic that has severely impacted small- and medium-sized businesses across our province, our role as their advocate and voice will become even more important as we overcome the challenges we have faced and seize the opportunities that lie before us.”

“I believe passionately that people come first, and the excellent work that the BC Chamber of Commerce delivers every day reflects that same passion,” Schutz said. “I have worked with small, medium and large organizations throughout my career and am driven by the idea that every operation can always be made better through collaboration, innovation and delivery of agile solutions that support business success in an ever-changing climate. I am looking forward to bringing that same drive to the BC Chamber of Commerce and working with Fiona and the team on building stronger relationships with our members, partners and stakeholders.”

As Vice President, Operations, Schutz’s role includes planning and managing a robust operational and IT infrastructure that supports strong relations with Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade across the province; the delivery of responsive, innovative, and cost-effective programs and services that meet the needs of the Chamber network, corporate members and other stakeholders; and overseeing the delivery of events and special projects.

Schutz joins the BC Chamber of Commerce from the Vancouver Regional Construction Association, where she was Director of Operations for five years. Prior to that, she held a number of roles, notably Manager of Customer Support for the Industry Training Authority, and several senior management positions with the Yellow Pages Group.
