BC Chamber of Commerce Statement on BC Cabinet Shuffle
In response to Premier Eby’s cabinet shuffle in Victoria today, Alex McMillan, CEO (Interim) of the BC Chamber of Commerce, released the following statement:
“On behalf of the BC Chamber of Commerce, I congratulate the members of Premier Eby’s cabinet on their new positions. To the members serving as cabinet ministers for the first time, I want to extend a special congratulations and wish you the best of luck in your new positions.
“The BC Chamber of Commerce welcomes Minister Ravi Khalon’s return to lead the new Ministry of Jobs and Economic Growth. The minister brings a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing the business community and we are looking forward to working with him and his staff to address the needs of the over 32,000 member businesses across our provincial network. I wish Minister Diana Gibson success as Minister of Citizen Services and look forward to working with her in her new role.
“A focus on economic growth and job creation, especially in the private sector, is going to be critical for the province moving forward. As British Columbians know, ensuring we have a healthy and robust economy is how government funds the services we all rely on.
“I look forward to connecting with Minister Kahlon in the near future to talk about our shared goals.”
