Kathleen Connolly is an Indigenous facilitator, strategist, and community connector with extensive experience working across British Columbia and Canada with First Nations governments, municipalities, nonprofits, industry partners, and business communities. She currently serves as a Director with the BC Chamber of Commerce and brings a strong background in economic development, governance, Community Safety & Well-Being (CSWB) planning, and collaborative leadership.
Kathleen’s work focuses on building strong relationships and creating practical, community-driven solutions that support resilience, inclusion, and sustainable growth. She has facilitated strategic planning, governance development, systems coordination, and engagement initiatives with Indigenous and rural communities across Canada, emphasizing culturally safe and collaborative approaches.
She previously served as Chief Executive Officer for the Dawson Creek and Fort St. John Chambers of Commerce, where she worked closely with businesses, industry leaders, community organizations, and all levels of government to advance regional priorities and strengthen local economies.
Kathleen is also a mentor with the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation, supporting youth, women, and Indigenous entrepreneurs exploring business development opportunities. In addition to being a director of the Northern Lights College Foundation, Kathleen is an appointed Director on the Indigenous Advisory Council on Agriculture and Food.
She holds a Diploma in Social Services Work, a Certificate in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo, and a Certificate in Project Management. Kathleen is recognized as an Indigenous Facilitator and Resource by the Province of British Columbia and is known for creating respectful spaces that support dialogue, collaboration, and meaningful action.
