Fiona Famulak, President and CEO of the BC Chamber of Commerce, announced today that Chris Barry is joining the provincial association as the new Director, Partnerships.
“Chris brings over 20 years of experience managing teams, working to build organizations, and forging and maintaining key organizational partnerships,” Famulak said. “The BC Chamber of Commerce is evolving with the times, and this role will be essential to our success as we bring to life our three-year strategic plan that is laser-focused on engaging and connecting with our members, partners and stakeholders.”
“I am excited to join the BC Chamber of Commerce and to work with our members and partners who are woven into the fabric of every community in B.C.,” Barry said. “Partnerships are foundational to our success and I’m looking forward to collaborating with local chambers of commerce and boards of trade, partners, and businesses to support them, and deliver value and results,” he added.
As Director, Partnerships, Barry’s role is to lead the BC Chamber of Commerce’s business development activities that include maintaining and developing new corporate and affinity partnerships, sponsorships and helping develop responsive, innovative, and cost-effective programs and services that deliver value to members and partners.
Barry joins the BC Chamber of Commerce from Maximizer, where he was Vice President of Sales. Prior to that, he was Director, Revenue and Member Engagement at the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
