More than 200 business and Chamber leaders from across BC are meeting in Kamloops for the BC Chamber AGM: ‘The Business of Insight’, to vote on new business and economic policies. Policies that are adopted become part of the BC Chamber’s advocacy agenda. This year, at least 52 proposed policies will be up for debate.
Key policy themes include:
- Resource development in BC – from pipeline development to LNG
- Housing affordability and progressive housing solutions
- Tax competitiveness and solutions to the ‘dogpile’ of federal and provincial taxes facing business owners
- Electoral reform
- Innovative solutions to management of waste in BC
Featured conference panel discussions include:
- The ‘Green Economy’ – Cannabis comes to Canada. We’ll hear from industry producers and regulators on how the industry can be safe, sustainable and profitable.
- Meet the Energy Disruptors — Some of the out-of-the-box thinkers who understand how today’s natural resource development conversations and project proposals must disrupt old mindsets and expectations if they are to succeed.
- Proportional Representation: Yea or Nay?
