MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS

 

The Chamber encourages close co-operation between The Chamber, the Union of BC Municipalities and the Ministry responsible for Municipal Affairs.

 

The Chamber urges governments at all levels to ensure that measures are put in place to ensure that there is equitable treatment of business in the application of local government taxes and charges and that all parties work towards addressing the significant inequities which already exist.

 

The Chamber urges local chamber members to become involved in municipal activities and ultimately to seek election for public office as representatives of the business community.
